ABC Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a rewarding school environment.
Your Role:
You’ll provide 1:1 or small group support to students with a variety of needs and additional challenges.
A passion for education and strong teamwork skills are key to this role, which offers the chance to help students thrive while gaining valuable experience in a supportive setting.
About the School:
An independent school for young adults aged 14–25, all of whom have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The school supports students with:
Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Visual/hearing impairments
Behavioural challenges
About You:
✅ Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or have relevant experience
✅ Experience working with children or young adults with additional needs
✅ Can provide suitable references
✅ Have a DBS on the Update Service or are willing to complete a new one
