Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistant
Location: L20, Liverpool
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: September
A supportive and friendly primary school in the L20 area of Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning through small group interventions, with a particular focus on early literacy development.
Key Responsibilities:
Support class teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
Deliver targeted phonics interventions, ideally using the Read Write Inc. scheme
Work with small groups of children to support literacy, numeracy, and social skills
Assist with classroom management and preparation of resources
Monitor and record pupil progress under the direction of the class teacher
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Requirements:
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Experience delivering phonics sessions (Read Write Inc. experience is highly desirable)
Previous experience running or supporting small group interventions
A proactive, flexible, and caring approach to supporting children
Good communication and teamwork skills
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
