Job Description
We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Skelmersdale that is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or 3 qualified) to join their team. The successful candidate will provide classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers to ensure all pupils are able to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to teachers across a range of subjects.
Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions to aid pupil progress.
Assist in preparing and adapting resources to support learning.
Support pupils with additional needs to ensure inclusion and engagement.
Promote positive behaviour and encourage social and emotional development.
Contribute to creating a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent).
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being.
