Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Role: Teaching Assistant (Level 2 and above)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Temp-to-Perm
Start Date: Immediate / October 2025
Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant (Level 2 or higher) looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking enthusiastic and skilled TAs to support SEN schools across Northampton.
We work with a wide range of specialist settings supporting pupils aged 4-19 with additional needs such as autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges, speech and language delays, and complex learning difficulties. Whether you're an experienced TA or returning to the sector, we want to hear from you!
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be expected to:
Support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
Assist with differentiation and lesson delivery
Implement EHCP strategies and classroom behaviour management techniques
Promote pupil independence, confidence, and inclusion
Work collaboratively with SENCOs, teachers and other support staff
Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment Essential Requirements:
Level 2 (or above) TA qualification
Previous experience working in an SEN or mainstream classroom
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
