Job Description
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs on a one-to-one basis? Do you have the patience, empathy, and skills needed to help a child thrive both academically and emotionally?
We are looking for Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in the Stourbridge area, providing 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and speech and language needs.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
*
Provide focused 1:1 support to a designated pupil with SEN, adapting strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
*
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review individual education plans (IEPs)
*
Foster a safe, nurturing environment to support the child’s development and inclusion in school life
*
Use a range of tools and approaches to aid communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
*
Support the child’s social and emotional wellbeing alongside their academic progress
🔹 We’re looking for someone who:
*
Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
*
Has experience working with SEN pupils, ideally on a 1:1 basis
*
Demonstrates strong communication skills, patience, and resilience
*
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
*
Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
