Role Overview:
The school is seeking a dedicated and skilled Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term progression for a candidate who demonstrates commitment, professionalism, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Working under the guidance of teachers and senior staff, you will support pupils with autism and communication needs, helping them access learning and providing tailored support to enable positive educational and personal development.
Key Responsibilities:
  * 
    Provide individual and small-group support to pupils with autism, SLCN, and other additional needs.
  * 
    Assist in implementing individual learning plans (ILPs), EHCP targets, and behaviour support strategies.
  * 
    Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEN team to deliver high-quality support.
  * 
    Assist pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
  * 
    Promote a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
  * 
    Support with classroom routines, resources, and lesson preparation.
  * 
    Encourage independence, confidence, and positive behaviour.
  * 
    Record progress and contribute to assessments and reviews when required.
  * 
    Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow all school policies.
Requirements:
  * 
    Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
  * 
    Proven SEN experience, ideally within an autism or communication-needs setting – essential.
  * 
    In-date Enhanced DBS, ideally registered on the Update Service – essential.
  * 
    Eligibility to work full-time in the UK without requiring sponsorship – essential.
  * 
    Willingness to undergo full vetting and compliance checks prior to starting in a school role – essential.
  * 
    Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
  * 
    A proactive, adaptable, and positive approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs.
