Job Description
Smile Education are recruiting! We’re working on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Rugeley to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position.
Role: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Rugeley
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Support teaching and learning across both KS1 and KS2 classrooms.
Adapt to different year groups and classroom environments as needed.
Deliver targeted interventions to small groups and individuals.
Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, fostering both academic and emotional development.
Work closely with class teachers and SEND staff to ensure inclusive and effective support.
Maintain a positive, proactive approach to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
Working closely and communicating effectively with the class teacher and colleagues.
Requirements:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – essential
Experience supporting children across Key Stage 1 and 2
Confident in leading small-group and individual interventions
Experience or interest in supporting pupils with SEND
Strong communication and organisational skills
A flexible, team-focused attitude
