Job Description
Eden Brown Synergy are currently recruiting for an experienced Deputy LADO / Child Protection Chair to join the Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Service at Lewisham Council.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) in managing allegations against professionals and carers working with children.
* Chairing Child Protection Conferences and ensuring effective multi-agency collaboration.
* Providing professional oversight and quality assurance of safeguarding practice across the service.
* Ensuring decisions and recommendations are clearly recorded and followed through in line with statutory timescales.
* Promoting best practice and consistency in safeguarding procedures and outcomes for children.
* Contributing to learning, development, and policy improvement across the safeguarding partnership.
Working Pattern:
* Hybrid working
Pay Rate:
* Up to £45.20 p/h Umbrella
Essential Requirements:
* Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
* Social Work England Registration
* Substantial post-qualifying experience in safeguarding and child protection
* Experience chairing child protection conferences or managing complex safeguarding cases
* Excellent knowledge of statutory guidance and local safeguarding procedures
