Job Description
Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a major blue-chip clients based in Essex, supplying LGV1 drivers for their nationwide logistics operation. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking reliable, ongoing temporary work with regular hours and the chance to work with some of the most respected names in the industry.
The Role
As an LGV1 driver, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality service, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods across the UK. Representing the client to their end customers, your professionalism and attention to detail will be essential.
HGV1 GENERAL HAULAGE WORK
Times: AM shifts starting 02:00-11:00 / PM shifts starting 12:00-22:00
Locations: Thurrock, Stanford Le Hope, Tilbury
Pay rates: £15.17 - £28.65 p/h
Minimum 8 hours guaranteed for all shifts
Payment method: PAYE, Limited company or umbrella company
HGV1 CONTAINER WORK - Tilbury/ Stanford Le Hope
Times: AM shifts starting 04:00-06:00 / PM shifts starting 13:00 -18:00
Locations: Tilbury Dock, Stanford Le Hope, Thurrock
Pay rates: £16.25 - £24.17 p/h
Minimum 8 - 10 hours guaranteed for all shifts depending on customer
Payment method: PAYE, Limited company or umbrella company
Drivers must have previous container experience.
Key Responsibilities:
·Operate Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in full compliance with legal and company standards.
·Secure, transport goods safely and efficiently.
·Complete delivery paperwork accurately and maintain clear records.
·Ensure vehicle cleanliness and carry out basic vehicle checks.
·Use navigation aids and temperature-controlled units as required.
·Follow health & safety procedures at all times.
·Represent the Streamline Recruitment brand professionally in both appearance and conduct.
·Adhere to scheduled deliveries and collections.
·Perform routine quality checks as required.
·Assist with other operational duties as needed by the transport team.
Candidate Requirements
·Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
·Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
·Strong understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive
·Excellent communication and customer service skills
·Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
