About the role – Library Assistant
I am working with this mainstream secondary school in Newham who are looking to appoint a Library assistant to start with them in the new academic year from September. The successful Library assistant will be required to promote a love of reading amongst students whilst ensuring the library book borrowing system is led and managed efficiently. The ideal candidate will be flexible in their job role while being able to support students on a 1:1 basis from time to time.
About the school – Library Assistant
This oversubscribed, good mainstream secondary school based in the heart of Newham cater to students between the ages 11 and 16 with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school have a reputation for looking after staff where a number of schemes in place to support a better work life balance, the school support each member of staff with a lower than average teaching loads where each teacher is treated as a specialist therefore isn’t required to teach cover lessons outside of their subject specialisms. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time efficient allowing teacher to focus on other aspects on teaching and learning.
