Level 3 Apprentice Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Standard - Electromechanical
What does the apprenticeship involve?
The apprentice will work with qualified engineers on all principles throughout the apprenticeship. This will involve learning on the job and gaining experience whilst being supervised and monitored by trained and qualified engineers. The apprentice will assist engineers to complete certain tasks and will be given the opportunity to also complete work whilst supervised. Experience will be provided on servicing, call outs, repairs and potentially some modernisation and installation projects.

Qualifications on completion of the apprenticeship
As well as gaining a broad range of professional knowledge and experience, you will gain academic and vocational qualifications such as the Level 3 Maintenance and Operations Engineering Apprenticeship Standard– Electromechanical Technician. You will also achieve Level 3 NVQ Diploma in modernisation/major and minor repairs and Commissioning of hydraulic and Traction lifts

To succeed, you will need
* A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 to 9 or equivalent,including Maths, English and preferably a Science subject.

* Ability to absorb information, analyse problems, make fact-based decisions, and propose innovative solutions.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
