Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Litigation Legal Director join my clients team in their Nottingham offices. Professional and Technical Expertise: • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on complex legal matters in their specialist practice area. • Is the “go-to” person for expert advice. • Manages complex matters with limited amounts of supervision. Leadership and Mentorship: • Supervises and mentors junior associates and legal staff, fostering their professional development and growth. • Leads a significant part of a department • Invests time into junior lawyers so they can become the future leaders and CRMs of the business. Effective Relationships: • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored legal solutions. • Widely known throughout the firm as an individual who is vital to several big project’s “Team sheets” • Develops relationships internally and externally which can help deliver their team’s targets Finance and Financial Discipline: • Assess and manage legal risks associated with client engagements and firm operations. • Ensures their direct reports and/or sub team achieves their financial goals • Trains and embeds the financial KPIs necessary for a profitable team, to all their direct reports and members of their sub-team Business Development: • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including potential clients and markets. • Builds external relationships that help their own team and the wider Firm receive work. • Identifying events and conferences to attend that will win work and grow our presence in the marketplace, Skills and Experience: • Qualified solicitor or Fellow of CILEx with extensive experience in a reputable law firm. • Proven track record of handling complex legal matters and delivering successful outcomes. • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising legal teams. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
