Job Description
Start Date: January 2026 (flexibility to start earlier on a temporary live-out basis)
* Accommodation: Separate private annex
* Hours: 45 hours per week, across 5 days (flexibility when needed)
A warm and busy family recently relocated from Dubai is seeking an experienced and proactive Domestic Couple to help manage their 6-bedroom home near Cirencester, Cotswolds. The role is ideal for a couple who can cover a blend of housekeeping, family support, driving, pet care, cooking and general property maintenance.
The couple will become key support to a household with two children, two dogs , and visiting grandparents. Discretion, flexibility, and a ‘can-do’ attitude are essential in this long-term position.
Key Responsibilities:
For the Housekeeper/Cook:
* Maintain the household to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation, including all tidying and cleaning of rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas with deep clean where required
* Complete laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, linen care, minor sewing “fixes”
* Prepare simple, healthy, family-style meals (mostly evening meals)
* Support household organisation: managing cupboards, seasonal changes, shopping for household supplies, etc.
* Run errands such as grocery shopping and dry cleaning
* Be available to support with school runs and children’s logistics (occasional pickups/drop-offs)
* Be on-hand during occasional absences of the parents (e.g. when one is travelling back from work or has been delayed)
* Provide ad hoc support for guests and visiting family members
For the Driver/Houseman:
* Drive family members as required (school runs, appointments, station drop-offs, etc.)
* Provide dog care: walking, feeding, and vet visits as required (including pet sitting when owners are away)
* Perform daily gardening tasks and general upkeep of outdoor areas
* Handle property care and maintenance (recycling, bins, cleaning windows and guttering as appropriate, minor DIY tasks, regular meter readings, cleaning fireplaces when needed etc.)
* Oversee basic car care and upkeep (refuelling, valeting, maintenance scheduling)
* Run errands such as grocery shopping and dry cleaning etc.
* Liaise with any contractors coming to the property
* Provide general support and be a practical extra pair of hands around the home
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience working as a domestic couple or in private households
* High standards of cleanliness, organisation, and discretion
* Confident driver with a clean UK driving licence
* Good family-style cooking skills
* Strong DIY, gardening, and general maintenance ability
* Comfortable around children and pets, with a hands-on, “can-do”, adaptable approach
* Fluent English and right to work in the UK
Accommodation:
A private self-contained annex is available. This includes a separate entrance, two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and living room on the upper floor
* The annex is connected to but very separate from the main house
* No dependants permitted
* All household bills (excluding phone and oil) are covered by the familyBefore You Apply
