Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Loading Shovel Operator to provide ad hoc temporary cover for our client's site based in Southampton. This is a hands-on role that will involve operating a loading shovel as well as supporting the team with general site duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a loading shovel safely and efficiently on site
Carry out additional site duties to support the wider team and site plan
Work closely with the team and follow instructions from the Site Manager
Ensure high levels of plant availability and performance
Comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) procedures
Conduct routine checks to ensure all machinery is operating safely and effectively
Maintain good housekeeping and contribute to a safe working environmentWhat We're Looking For:
Proven experience operating a Loading Shovel in a similar environment
Valid ticket/certification for operating Loading Shovel (e.g. NPORS or CPCS)
Strong understanding of site health and safety practices
Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team
Willingness to undertake other duties as needed to support site operations
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when requiredReporting to: Site Manager
