Job Description
We are currently seeking a clinically experienced Locum GP Pharmacist to support a friendly and forward-thinking GP surgery team in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Independent Prescriber (IP) or Band 8a pharmacist with primary care experience who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and reducing GP workload.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct Structured Medication Reviews (SMRs)
Manage repeat prescriptions and medicines reconciliation
Deliver patient consultations (face-to-face/telephone/video)
Support chronic disease clinics (e.g. hypertension, diabetes, asthma)
Act as a point of contact for medicines optimisation and audit
Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and wider PCN team
Requirements
GPhC-registered Pharmacist
Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification – essential
Experience in a primary care/GP surgery setting
Strong clinical judgement and confidence with patient-facing work
Familiarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne desirable
