Locum Occupational Therapists Needed
Join our client as a Locum Occupational Therapist and enjoy flexible, rewarding opportunities at a hospital in Wales.
We’re looking for passionate, HCPC-registered Occupational Therapists with strong clinical skills to join a fast-paced hospital environment and support patient discharge pathways.
Location: Wales
Rate: £26.00 – £28.00 per hour (Umbrella Equivalent)
️ Start Date: ASAP
Working Pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week (Monday to Friday)
Role Overview
We are seeking a confident and motivated Occupational Therapist to deliver comprehensive assessments and interventions for patients, many with complex needs, incorporating physical, personal, and psychological aspects to support safe discharge.
Key responsibilities include:
Using strong clinical reasoning and positive risk-taking to support home-first discharges in line with Welsh Government policy
Working effectively within a fast-paced and unpredictable environment
Communicating sensitively and appropriately with patients, carers, agencies, and other professionals
Using IT systems to update clinical information, data collection, and audits
Maintaining excellent organisational and communication skills throughout
Keeping knowledge and skills current in line with HCPC requirements, with support for internal and external training opportunities
Applicants should be Band 6 or Band 7, with at least two years’ post-graduate experience.
