Are you an experienced and passionate Social Worker looking for your next challenge in children's services? A forward-thinking local authority in the North West of England is seeking a skilled Locum Social Worker to join their Looked After Children's Team.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of looked after children, ensuring regular visits and care planning in line with statutory requirements.
Work in partnership with carers, families, schools, and other professionals to promote stability and permanence for children.
Prepare for and attend statutory reviews, court hearings, and relevant multi-agency meetings.
Complete high-quality, timely reports, including CLA review documents, Permanence Plans, and Pathway Plans.
Support children and young people through transitions, ensuring their voices are heard and reflected in all planning.
🔹 About You:
Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration.
Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience within LAC, Child Protection, or similar children's services teams.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Care Planning Regulations, and Working Together to Safeguard Children.
Confident in managing complex cases, working to deadlines, and maintaining excellent recording standards.
