Job Description
365 People are looking for a Logistics Broker on behalf of our client in Hinckley
Key Responsibilities:
*
Plan, resource, and allocate loads daily to achieve the best possible margins.
*
Schedule deliveries to meet customer deadlines and expectations.
*
Source additional work through trading platforms and develop new business opportunities.
*
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontract hauliers to drive repeat business.
*
Monitor and manage delivery performance, updating customers about any potential delays.
*
Work to operational KPIs and targets.
*
Ensure all data and job information are accurately maintained within the TMS (Mandata).
*
Participate in a rota for out-of-hours duty cover.
Skills & Experience Required:
*
Strong PC literacy, with experience using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn transport management systems quickly.
*
Proven experience negotiating rates and managing relationships with subcontractors.
*
Comprehensive understanding of driver hours, vehicle legislation, and the Working Time Directive.
*
Excellent knowledge of the UK transport and general haulage market.
*
Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
*
Confident and professional telephone manner.
