Logistics coordinator
wellingborough
£13.06 per hour increase after probation
Monday to friday 8am-5pm
Temp to Perm
Principal Purpose
Working on behalf of a valued client, we are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Logistics Co‑ordinator to oversee supply chain operations and ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating transportation, maintaining accurate inventory records, liaising with suppliers and carriers, and supporting continuous improvement across logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments
Schedule deliveries and monitor transportation timelines to ensure on-time performance
Liaise effectively with suppliers, freight companies, and warehouse teams
Track orders and proactively resolve shipping or delivery issues
Maintain accurate inventory records and logistics documentation
Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and relevant customs paperwork
Support continuous improvement initiatives within logistics operations
Book in deliveries via phone and email
Act as the first point of contact for drivers arriving on site
Verify delivery documentation
Direct drivers to the appropriate loading/unloading bays
Collaborate with internal colleagues to ensure smooth operational flow

Experience & Skills Required
Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse coordination
Strong organisational and multitasking skills
Good communication and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Familiarity with ERP or logistics management systems
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
