Logistics & Transport Management Analyst

Denby, Derbyshire | Full-Time | Onsite

A specialist logistics organisation is seeking a Logistics & Transport Management Analyst to play a key role in delivering operational improvements, transport optimisation initiatives and measurable cost savings across warehouse and transport activities.

This is not a traditional reporting analyst position.

The successful candidate will sit at the heart of the operation, working closely with leadership teams to improve productivity, optimise transport and warehouse performance, support system enhancements and contribute to a forthcoming ERP transformation programme.

The Opportunity

Reporting into senior leadership, you'll be responsible for using operational data, systems and business intelligence tools to identify opportunities, improve efficiency and drive measurable business outcomes.

You will play a key role in:

Supporting Transport Management Systems (TMS) optimisation.
Developing Power BI reporting and KPI dashboards.
Identifying and delivering warehouse and transport productivity improvements.
Supporting a planned SAP S/4HANA implementation programme.
Building business cases for operational improvements.
Analysing transport and warehouse costs.
Monitoring operational performance and KPI delivery.
Tracking benefits and measuring improvement outcomes.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations.Key Responsibilities:

Operational Performance & Analysis

Analyse warehouse and transport performance data.
Develop and maintain operational KPI dashboards.
Monitor productivity, service and cost performance.
Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
Present data-driven recommendations to management teams.Continuous Improvement

Support productivity improvement programmes.
Conduct process mapping and root cause analysis.
Deliver measurable operational improvements.
Support cost reduction initiatives.
Track and report on realised benefits.Systems & Technology

Act as a key user for Transport Management Systems.
Support systems optimisation and process improvements.
Assist with ERP and SAP S/4HANA-related projects.
Support testing, implementation and user adoption activities.
Develop reporting and business intelligence solutions using Power BI.Stakeholder Management

Work closely with transport, warehouse and operational teams.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Present findings and recommendations to management.
Support project delivery and change initiatives.What We're Looking For:

Essential

Experience within transport, logistics or supply chain operations.
Hands-on experience with a Transport Management System (TMS).
Advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
Experience developing operational KPIs and performance reporting.
Process improvement and continuous improvement experience.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to translate data into operational action.Highly Desirable

SAP S/4HANA experience.
ERP implementation, migration or systems project exposure.
Transport optimisation experience.
Route planning and fleet utilisation analysis.
Business case development.
Cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
Lean, Six Sigma or Operational Excellence methodologies.Ideal Backgrounds
