Logistics/Warehouse Agent
The purpose of the role is to take responsibility for the daily operation of supply chain logistics across the Cardiff site from a strategic and exception management position. Additionally, to help execute the logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule. Furthermore, to support reviewing freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low, whilst maintaining quality throughout the logistic processes.
Supervision and mentoring will be provided by Dispatch & Logistics Manager.
Principle Accountabilities:
To oversee the distribution, movement and storage of inventory and materials to achieve business commitments.
Resolve any complaints and customer service disputes.
Manage logistics processes.
Support developing cost-reducing strategies and improvements for efficiency and delivery schedule adherence.Main Activities:
Logistics
Loading and unloading vehicles.
Unpacking and packing.
Book in/Issue Units/accessories using SAP
Shipping units with DHL, TNT, United or other nominated carriers.
Completing shipping paperwork, including Commercial Invoices and CMRs
Maintaining Commodity Code file for all Parts to help facilitate daily shipments
Archiving documentation.
Managing stationary/packaging levels and placing orders to restock.
Manage Shipping Batteries by Road and Air, including attending biennial company DG training.
Help manage Logistic projects.
Deployment
Run daily plan.
Pick and ship all SAP sales order.
Scan any unit serial numbers into Midas.
Check Kanbans/Shipping Orders against parts received from production.
Wrap and pack pallets and boxes.
Raise Demo orders, ship and log in Demo database.
Update tracking on SAP as necessary.
Prepare commercial invoice & CMRs as necessary.
Send shipping reports to major customers
Process accessories.
Conduct Fire check weekly in area.
Ship orders using TNT or Fed Ex.
Allocate stock using SAP.
Print off delivery notes using SAP
Load vehicles including vans and trailers for shipping.
Enter all Cardiff shipments into tracking sheet & monitor to successful delivery, including resolving any delivery exceptions.Core requirements:
1 to 3 years' experience in a logistics role including importing and exporting.
Working knowledge of all customs processes and paperwork requirements.
Working relationship with major carriers such as FedEx, TNT, DHL et al.
Post Brexit export experience to EU.
Import/Export experience worldwide.
Proven experience in logistics.
Appropriate academic and (or) vocational qualification desirable.
Experience of SAP or similar business systems.
Experience with Microsoft Packages (MS Office, Windows).
Strong KPI management and the ability to analyse data to influence KPIs.
Excellent understanding of cost drivers and demonstrated success of cost reduction.
Demonstrated financial awareness and ability to positively impact the P&L.
Proven CRM expertise.
