Job Title: Lorry Driver (7.5 Tonnes)
Location: Staines
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, approx. 07:30 AM - 17:30 PM (subject to delivery schedule)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour
Job Overview
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5-tonne Lorry Driver to join our team. This role involves both driving and warehouse support, offering variety and hands-on work. If you're passionate about logistics, customer service, and teamwork, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Delivery
Operate a 7.5-tonne lorry safely and efficiently.
Deliver goods to various locations, ensuring timely and professional service.
Load and unload goods securely.
Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
Conduct routine vehicle checks and report issues.
Maintain accurate delivery and vehicle maintenance records.
Comply with traffic laws and company policies.Warehouse Support
Assist with receiving, storing, and organising inventory.
Pick and pack orders accurately.
Maintain a clean and organising warehouse.
Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Requirements
Valid UK driver's licence with entitlement to drive 7.5-tonne vehicles.
Proven experience as a lorry driver.
Warehouse experience is a plus.
Physically fit - able to lift and carry heavy items.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Good knowledge of local roads and routes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
