Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor - Secondary SEN School
Location: Catford, Lewisham
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 11:30am - 1:30pm
Rate: £15 per hour
Contract: Ongoing - Term Time Only
Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a Lunchtime Supervisor to join a vibrant and supportive SEN secondary school based in Catford, Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has experience working with students with special educational needs and is confident providing support during the school lunch period.
As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting pupils with a range of complex needs during their break, including assisting with personal care, helping with feeding, and ensuring a safe and positive dining environment. You will also provide supervision during outdoor and indoor playtimes, encouraging inclusion and managing behaviour where needed.
The role:
Supervising students during lunch breaks in dining halls and play areas
Supporting pupils with physical or medical needs, including personal care (toileting, hygiene, feeding)
Promoting a calm and inclusive atmosphere
Ensuring pupil safety at all times and following safeguarding procedures
Working as part of a dedicated SEN support team
The ideal candidate will:
Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (SEMH, ASD, PMLD)
Be confident providing personal care and lifting support where necessary
Be reliable, caring, and proactive in supporting students
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
