A European-wide principal contractor that specialises in delivering complex data centre projects across Europe, is rapidly expanding and looking to add a detail driven M&E Commissioning Engineer to their team, reporting into the Commissioning Lead. This contractor is working with some of the most prestigious clients in this sector and have a strong pipeline in the area.
The ideal candidate will come from a similar background with experience overseeing commissioning of large scale residential, commercial or industrial projects. Data centre experience is desired however not essential, the client is more than willing to provide the necessary training for someone with the right attitude.
You will be joining a close-knit team and a company that has an order book full for several year, making it a fantastic time to be joining. This role can either permanent on the books, or contract for the right candidate. Please also note that you must have a right to work in Europe to apply for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Management of all company commissioning responsibilities on site. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the Commissioning plan for the project.
* Management of direct reports
* Management of the Commissioning Tagging process and procedures.
* Reporting Progress on all Commissioning activities both internally and externally.
* Chairing weekly commissioning meetings and directing weekly commissioning activities.
* Chairing daily whiteboard meetings on commissioning.
* Attending the Main Contractor and clients weekly commissioning meetings and reporting out weekly progress.
* Development of the Project commissioning scheduled in conjunction with the project planners.
* Ensuring that all testing and commissioning workforce is tracked on the site Labour allocation Tracker sheets and issued daily.
The ideal Commissioning Manager will have:
* Degree in Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience in a commissioning manager role on large scale industrial projects.
* Extensive Commissioning knowledge of the typical Mechanical and Electrical systems associated with Data Centres.
* A thorough understanding of building regulation and European standards, codes and practices.
* Ability to thrive in a team-working environment and have strong social skills.
* Flexible to travel
