The Role & Shift Pattern
Working as part of the Site Services engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining automated and mechanical equipment across the site. This includes planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive breakdown support, and contributing to continuous improvement activity.
Full training will be provided on advanced, high-speed packaging systems within a state-of-the-art facility.
This is a Monday to Friday shift-based role, working on a rotating pattern within core hours of 06:00 to 20:00:
06:00 - 14:00
08:00 - 16:00
12:00 - 20:00You will also participate in a three-person on-call rota, with additional pay for on-call duties and overtime.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across conveyors, sortation systems, packaging machinery, and associated equipment
Complete PPM activities and accurately record work using CMMS/CAFM systems
Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs in a fast-paced environment
Carry out safe isolation and maintain compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Participate in shift rotation, on-call cover, and overtime as required
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Strong electrical or mechanical engineering background
Ability to fault-find and resolve breakdowns under pressure
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS)Desirable:
Familiarity with CMMS/CAFM systems
Mechanical bias or additional mechanical qualifications
L8 training (Legionella awareness)
IPAF certification
