Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Manager to join our team on a high-profile commercial new build project. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all M&E aspects from installation through to commissioning and handover, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

M&E Manager Key Responsibilities

  * Manage and coordinate all mechanical and electrical services on site

  * Oversee M&E subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered to specification and programme

  * Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements

  * Monitor progress against programme and report on milestones and risks

  * Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies

  * Coordinate with design teams, consultants, and the main contractor

  * Lead commissioning, testing, and handover processes

  * Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently

  * Manage quality assurance and ensure high standards of workmanship

  * Support procurement and value engineering activities

M&E Manager Requirements

  * Proven experience as an M&E Manager on commercial construction projects

  * Strong technical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems

  * Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams

  * Excellent understanding of construction processes and project delivery

  * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

  * Strong communication and leadership skills

  * Relevant qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Building Services

  * SMSTS / CSCS card (or equivalent) preferred
