Job Description
My client is an M&E Contractor, and an interior fit out contractor who specialize in projects in the retail and commercial sector across the UK. They are based near Wakefield and have an excellent reputation and history of producing quality, fast track fit out projects across the sector for some leading retail clients. Many of these clients are large food retailers such as Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer, Pets at Home etc…
They are currently recruiting an M&E Project Manager to join their Mechanical and Electrical team. The position is required to provide extra resource in response to a significant increase in workload. Projects are biased towards the commercial retail sector, with the role requiring you to manage a varied portfolio of contracts from initial enquiry through to final accounts. The Project Manager will lead projects from conception to completion. You will be a strategic thinker, a proficient communicator, and possess a strong understanding of construction processes. You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Essential Requirements to be successful in the role:
- Direct, plan, motivate and monitor the project teams
- Produce scopes of works document from given brief or drawings
- Plan and agree scheme phasing details with the design team
- Continually monitor supplier quotations against rates
- Attend and manage on-site scheme phases
- Attend scheme design team meetings as necessary
- Perform site surveys
- Ensure KPI monitoring is completed weekly
- Ensure Health & Safety is always compliant
Desired skills and experience:
-Previous experience as an M&E Project Manager
-SMSTS
-First Aid Certificate
-Asbestos Awareness
-18th Edition
-ECS Management Card
-Previous experience in mechanical, building services and HVAC Engineering
