Job Description
Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.
We are looking for an M&E Shift Engineer who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an M&E Shift Engineer to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
As the M&E Shift Engineer, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
The M&E Shift Engineer, will be responsible for:
* Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and scheduled planned maintenance in line with task timelines.
* Perform reactive electrical repairs and respond to faults as required on site.
* Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies to ensure critical service continuity, particularly for fixed line telecoms infrastructure.
* Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and meets relevant statutory compliance standards.
* Complete and maintain accurate documentation for all maintenance and repair tasks.
* Support the delivery of both mechanical and electrical (M&E) services, along with general fabric maintenance and some soft services tasks.
* Provide assistance with general building maintenance when required.
* Work collaboratively with mobile engineers and other team members to support site operations and continuity.
To be successful for this M&E Shift Engineer role you must have:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within a commercial environment.
* Completed an electrical apprenticeship (preferred).
* Hold relevant City & Guilds qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
* Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety practices and statutory compliance requirements.
* Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and complete maintenance records accurately.
* Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a wider maintenance team.
* A flexible and proactive attitude towards additional responsibilities, including general maintenance support beyond core electrical tasks.
