Job Description

Job Title: M&E Surveyor (Electrical Biased)

Location: East of England / Hybrid

Contract: 6-months ongoing (potential permanent)

Pay: Inside IR35 - Negotiable

A large and well-established housing organisation is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Compliance Surveyor to support the delivery of its compliance and planned maintenance programmes across a substantial residential portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitoring contractor performance against electrical and mechanical compliance programmes
• Undertaking contractor audits, post-inspections and quality assurance checks
• Acting as the subject matter expert for electrical installations and compliance
• Supporting delivery of statutory compliance programmes and remedial works
• Managing contractors and ensuring compliance targets are achieved
• Providing technical advice on electrical installations, condition reporting and best practice
• Supporting fire safety, compliance and risk management initiatives

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Electrician with relevant inspection and testing qualifications
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395
• 18th Edition (BS7671)
• Experience within housing, property, estates or compliance environments
• Strong contractor management and quality assurance experience
• Knowledge of electrical compliance, condition surveys and statutory obligations
