Machine Operative

Location: Fishponds, Bristol (BS16)

 Hours: Rotating shifts (6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm), Monday-Friday

Pay: £13.35 per hour (paid weekly)

Contract: Full‑time, Temp to Perm

Industry: Manufacturing

About the Role

We're working with a well‑established adhesive solutions manufacturer in Fishponds who are looking for a reliable and experienced Machine Operative to join their production team. This is a hands‑on role offering variety, stability, and long‑term progression within a supportive and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

As a Machine Operative, you will:

Check materials and machine settings before each production run
Feed materials into machinery and monitor production processes
Maintain high quality standards on WIP and finished rolls
Operate rewinder machines to provide break, holiday, and sickness cover
Clean machinery and prepare materials for upcoming production jobs
Safely load and unload vehicles
Follow all site Health & Safety procedures
Support general warehouse, production, and ad‑hoc duties as required 

Requirements

Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or production environments
Ability to work rotating shifts
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good communication skills and a positive team attitude
Reliable, punctual, and proactive approach to work
Counterbalance FLT licence (advantage but not essential)
