Production Operative
Location: Letchworth Garden City
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
Salary: £28,000 per annum + benefits
Start Date: Immediate start available
We are working with a well-established manufacturer and supplier of corrugated cartons, bespoke boxes, and a wide variety of packaging solutions. Based in Letchworth Garden City, we are looking to recruit a Corrugated Production Operative to join their friendly and skilled team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a hands-on role within a growing business, operating a range of production equipment to manufacture high-quality, bespoke corrugated products.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate a variety of machinery including box-making and gluing equipment.
Carry out routine maintenance and ensure the effective running of all machinery.
Ensure quality control throughout the production process.
Support the Production Supervisor/Manager and cover their responsibilities when required.
Candidate Requirements:
Good arithmetic skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to accurately measure and check product dimensions.
Hands-on experience with box-making or gluing machinery.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of corrugated board.
Flexible, proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
