Job Description
Machine Operative
We are currently recruiting a Machine Operative to join a local employee-owned company in Worksop who are expanding their production workforce due to continued growth. This is a great opportunity to secure a long-term role with progression opportunities and the chance to become multi-skilled across departments.
Main Duties:
* Always follow health and safety rules, including wearing the correct PPE
* Follow instructions, product specifications, and moulding process documents
* Open moulds, remove finished products, set up new moulds, and close them correctly
* Use jigs to handle and trim products to the required standard
* Operate ovens used in the moulding process
* Locate and use raw materials for moulding
* Maintain high standards of quality for products and equipment during moulding, finishing, and storage
* Keep the work area and factory clean, tidy, and safe
* Complete paperwork as required during the moulding process
* Communicate effectively with managers, team leaders, and co-workers to ensure smooth operations
* Train or support colleagues in moulding processes if required
* Assist other team members during downtime (setups, breakdowns, shutdowns) to maintain workflow

* Once permanent: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service, up to 28 days plus bank holidays)

Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience using hand and power tools
Hours & Pay:
* £27,872 per annum
* Monday to Friday, working on a Days/Nights/Afters rotationBefore You Apply
