Job Description
We are currently recruiting for experienced Machine Operators on behalf of our client based in Thetford.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturing company that offers full-time hours, training, and the potential for long-term employment.
The working hours for this role are 7:00 - 15:30 during the training period. Once training is completed, the shift will change to 14:30 - 23:00.
The pay rate is £13.00 per hour during the training period and increases to £14.00 per hour once you move to the PM shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate brake press machines to bend and shape sheet metal parts.
Load and unload sheet metal onto machines safely and efficiently.
Set up machines, adjust tools, and select correct settings for each job.
Inspect finished components to ensure they meet required specifications using measuring tools.
Monitor machine operations and make minor adjustments as needed.
Report any machine faults, defects, or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Follow all company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Support other general production tasks as required.
To be successful in this role, you must have previous experience operating brake press machines. You should be able to read and interpret technical drawings, have basic mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
