Job Description
We’re hiring for a Machine Operative to join a leading precision engineering company at their site in Glossop.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team where your contributions are crucial to meeting production targets and maintaining quality standards.
What’s on offer?
* £13.10 p/h
* Mon – Thu | 6am – 4:30pm (3-month training period)
* Mon – Thu 1:15pm – 11:30pm (after 3-month training period)
* Overtime available

What will you be doing as a Machine Operative?
* Setting and running machinery to meet production targets
* Responding to machine maintenance issues and reporting breakdowns
* Recording outputs and downtime accurately and on time
* Following preventative maintenance routines and supporting continuous improvement
* Keeping work areas clean, safe, and compliant with Health & Safety standards
* Assisting with fault finding and basic mechanical repairs
* Collaborating with your team and escalating issues when needed
What do you need?
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
* Machine operating or mechanical repair experience
* The ability to work with computer-controlled machinery
