Job Description

Aspired Talent are currently seeking a Machine Operative with woodwork experience to join our client’s growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with flatbed or woodworking machinery experience who is looking to take the next step towards CNC operation.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.30 and Friday until 3pm

Permanent position paying up to £33,000per annum with regular salary reviews and increases with experience.

Our client is happy to support and train the right candidate, making this ideal for machine operators who are eager to progress into CNC-level skills.

Key Responsibilities
Operating flatbed and woodworking machinery
Assisting with CNC router operations (including 2D and 5-axis machines)
Working accurately to measurements and datum points (X, Y, Z)
Loading materials and setting up machines for production runs
Supporting with tooling setup and adjustments
Monitoring production to ensure quality standards are met
Carrying out basic machine checks and maintenance
Working to production schedules and deadlines

Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience operating machinery within a woodworking or manufacturing environment
Experience with flatbed routers or similar equipment
Basic understanding of measurements and machining principles
Ability to read and follow instructions or technical drawings
Keen eye for detail and quality
Willingness to learn and develop CNC skills
Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player

Desirable (but not essential)
Experience with CNC machines (SCM, Biesse, Homag or similar)
Exposure to CNC software such as Xilog
