Job Description
Kinetic Recruitment are looking for a Machine Operator for a client based in Trafford Park.
Our client are a manufacturer specialising in plastic fabrications and laminates, supplying high-quality bespoke products to a variety of sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation in a hands-on production role.
The successful candidate must have previous experience operating machinery and be available to work 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday. This is a temporary, on-going opportunity with potential to go permanent for the right person.
Responsibilities:
* Operating edge banding machinery to apply edging to plastic panels and laminated components
* Feeding panels into machinery
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications
* Quality checking finished products to ensure high standards are met
* Carrying out basic machine maintenance and reporting any faults
* Working to daily production targets and deadlines
* Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed on the shop floor
* Keeping the work area clean and organised
* Assisting with other general production duties as required
Requirements:
* Previous experience operating an Edge Bander or working in a similar manufacturing or joinery environment
* Good attention to detail and quality standards
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and take on additional tasks when needed
What the position offers:
* £12.50 per hour
* Full training
* Working hours: 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
* Opportunity for permanent employment following successful temporary period
