Machine Operator
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Littlehampton
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 4 pm
Our client is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join their dynamic team in Littlehampton. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with proven Machine Operative experience.
Key Responsibilities:
CNC Operation & Machine Setup:
Operate and set CNC machines, ensuring they are properly calibrated for machining tasks. Assist colleagues in CNC operation and best practises, ensuring all equipment runs efficiently and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
Machine Maintenance & Equipment Setup:
Set up and maintain various machines, including the Anderson, 1525, Multi-Pro, Logic, and Spindle. Conduct routine servicing such as replacing blades and belts and maintaining machining surfaces to minimise downtime and optimise productivity.
Material Handling & Logistics:
Coordinate with forklift drivers to ensure a steady flow of raw materials for machining. Assist in wrapping and preparing completed jobs for despatch, and operate forklifts when required, particularly during staff shortages.
Production Coordination & Quality Control:
Liaise with the office team and general manager to prioritise and schedule production tasks. Verify job requirements to ensure production aligns with customer specifications and conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Machine Operator experience essential.
CNC Operator experience desirable.
Knowledge of Alphacam, Aspan, and Fanuc Control systems.
Strong understanding of factory equipment and production processes.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues effectively.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Forklift driving experience is preferred.
Working Environment:
This role may involve long periods of standing and is carried out in a noisy environment, so applicants must be prepared for these conditions.
