Job Description
M4 Recruitment are currently seeking a skilled Machine Setter Operator to join one of our clients based in Calne. The ideal candidate will possess a good mechanical knowledge and experience in setting and programming machines. Knowledge of milling and turning required.
Duties
* Operate, set and monitor machinery, including mills and tooling equipment, to ensure optimal performance.
* Assemble components according to specifications, utilizing SolidWorks and CAD software for precise measurements.
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order.
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols during materials handling processes.
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation, applying logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
* Collaborate with team members, design engineers and management to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role within a workshop or manufacturing setting.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand and operate machine controls like Fanuc, Hass and Hurco controls effectively.
* Able to read CAD drawings and measurements, experience of One CNC off line software an advantage
* Experience in Milling and Turning
* Familiarity with tooling processes and materials handling techniques.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is a full time, permanent position and interviews are being held immediately.
