Position: Machine Setter
Location: Tewkesbury
Working hours: 39 hours per week 8.00 to 5.00 Mon-Thurs and 8.00 to 1.00 Friday with ½ hour lunch break
Type of role: permanent
Salary: £26364 to £28392 + bonus
Benefits: monthly performance bonus, 24 days of holidays + BH, paid morning tea break, 2 x salary life assurance, training, canteen, overtime is paid at 1.3 for the first 4 hours and 1.5 thereafter.
We are now seeking to recruit a machine setter to work for an engineering company based in Tewkesbury. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for setting and operating Rollomatic grinding machines.
Responsibilities:
Operate various types of powered grinders/sanders to remove burs, protrusions etc. on surfaces to ensure parts meet customers’ specifications and production standards.
Read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, standards, geometrical tolerances and surface finishes.
To ensure all components are machined to drawings dimensions and tolerances
Setting and Operating Rollomatic grinding machines to produce consumable medical products.
Use cleaning stations for removal of cutting oils etc.
Visual quality inspections.
Requirements:
Experience using multi-axis precision grinding machines (desirable)
Experience in programming or ability/willingness to learn.
Manufacturing experience within a high precision industry (Essential)
Experience using precision measuring equipment (Essential)
Comfortable working to tight deadlines and tolerances.
