About the Role:
As the Machine Shop Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations within the workshop, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on leadership role where your CNC expertise and people management skills will drive success.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate a team of CNC machinists, programmers, and setters
*
Plan workloads, allocate resources, and maintain production schedules
*
Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, and workflow
*
Support and mentor team members, developing their skills and capabilities
*
Liaise with senior management, production, and quality departments to ensure customer expectations are met
*
Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards
About You:
*
Proven background as a CNC Miller or Turner with strong hands-on experience
*
Skilled in CAD/CAM programming for CNC machinery
*
Previous experience as a Machine Shop Supervisor, Foreman, or Manager
*
Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
*
Knowledge and experience using Hurco or Fanuc-controlled lathes and mills
*
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a focus on continuous improvement
