Field Service Engineer – CNC Machine Tools
Location: Yorkshire
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 + Company Vehicle
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
A leading CNC machine tool distributor is expanding its UK service team and is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to provide support to customers across Yorkshire.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding expertise, who enjoys working independently and delivering first-class service on a variety of CNC machinery.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of CNC machine tools in line with company standards.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults at customer sites.
Build lasting relationships with customers across diverse manufacturing sectors.
Provide technical support and advice to customers and internal teams.
Stay up to date with the latest machine developments and attend training on new control systems.
About You
Based in Yorkshire with the ability to travel across the region.
At least 3 years’ post-apprenticeship experience in a service or maintenance role.
Qualified with an HNC in Engineering and a Modern Apprenticeship (or equivalent).
Strong mechanical and electrical fitting skills.
Knowledge of CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain.
Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
Comfortable using PCs, mobile devices, and email systems.
