Our client, a well-established company located in Bournemouth, is actively seeking a skilled Machining Engineer to become an integral part of their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to innovative manufacturing processes and help drive the company’s continued success.
Machining Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Service, maintain, and repair a range of CNC machines, including Index, Chiron, Mazak, and Citizen
* Diagnose faults and perform corrective actions using PLC systems
* Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
* Follow scheduled maintenance and repair plans to meet production demands
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with Health & Safety regulations
Machining Engineer Ideal Candidate:
* Strong knowledge of CNC machine tools, including maintenance, servicing, and repair
* Proficient in diagnosing CNC faults through PLC systems
* Solid understanding of servo systems, with experience in Siemens systems being an advantage
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure while upholding high-quality standards
* Desirable: Experience in a tool room environment, including fixture manufacturing, repair, and component rework
Machining Engineer Working Hours:
* Monday – Thursday, 07:00 – 16:00
* Friday, 07:00 – 12:00
