Maintenance Assistant
Reading - travel to other locations will be an essential part of the role
Permanent, full-time

We’re working on behalf of a well-established and highly respected maintenance provider, trusted by some of the UK’s most recognisable retail brands. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team delivering essential maintenance services across the UK.
You’ll work in a two-person team assisting in maintaining, repairing and cleaning shop fronts at client sites. You’ll log jobs remotely via client portals, ensure all work meets safety standards, and liaise with the operations team to plan efficient schedules.
The role involves travel, early starts, late finishes, night work and occasional overnight stays (overnight rates apply).
We’re looking for candidates who are:
* Full UK driving licence (both team members must be able to drive)
* Comfortable working at height and physically fit for manual handling
* Able to pass a clean Basic DBS check
* Experienced in transferable trades (e.g. handyman, sign fitter, shop fitter, shutter fitter, general builder)
* Confident using hand tools and logging hours accurately
* Comfortable using tablets and updating client portals (training provided)
Desirable (training provided):
* Experience in maintenance, construction or signage
* Knowledge of H&S, ladder use or electrical safety
