Job Description
VGC Group are currently recruiting for a Batching Plant & Jetty Maintenance Electrician to join our team on a major project in Leiston, Suffolk.
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for overseeing and keep working the static assets, focus on preventative maintenance, conduct maintenance routine, inspection, repair and define spare parts needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant HSE, quality and best practice requirements
Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on plant machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot of hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and complete associated documentation.
Respond to breakdowns with efficient fault-finding and repair work.
Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and inspection reports.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and site management.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
The successful candidate will have:
Knowledge and Skills-
• Experience with concrete batching plants and large conveyor system.
• Good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Able to work with responsibility and under pressure with critical asset plant.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic ability.
• Coordination experience with delivery team and pant.
• Experience in similar project size
• System amendments and improvements.
Qualifications and Experience-
• NVQ 3 in Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance
• ECS or JOB-ECS
• Allen Bradley, Siemens, Schneider and Mitsubishi PLCs.
• Industries weighers.
• Variable speed drives.
• Hydraulics and pneumatics systems.
• Good understanding of batching plant processes and procedures.
• Maintenance plan.

• Pneumatic and hydraulic system experience
• UK major construction / industrial experience
• Experience of working on similar system in civil engineering projects
