Job Description

Maintenance Electrician - Edinburgh - Salary up to £40,000 DOE We are seeking a skilled Electrical Mobile Maintenance Technician to join a leading facilities company. This role involves travelling across multiple sites in Edinburgh to carry out a range of electrical services, including planned preventive maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and compliance checks. Key Responsibilities: Deliver electrical services, planned maintenance, extra works, and emergency procedures in line with statutory and contractual obligations. Maintain accurate records, certificates, and compliance documentation, ensuring they are always up to date and stored within the Skanska Management System. Undertake fault finding and repairs on a wide variety of electrical systems. Use the CAFM system to record and update all tasks, liaising with the helpdesk to meet reporting requirements. Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times, with risk assessments and paperwork completed before work begins. Carry out inspections and testing of emergency lighting, switchgear, and distribution boards. Undertake minor electrical projects, repairs, and work on associated mechanical plant when required.Person Specification: SVQ Level 3 Certificate in Electrical Installation (SQA/SJIB) or equivalent (e.g., City & Guilds NVQ Level 3). Completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical installation. City & Guilds 2382 qualification (18th Edition desirable). LV AP qualification (desirable). Health & Safety certification (IOSH or equivalent). Confident in the use of electrical multi-function testers.Salary & Benefits: Salary up to £40,000 DOE. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
