Job Description
Overview:
We are currently looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our team, working on reactive maintenance within social housing properties across Berkshire, Hampshire, and surrounding areas. This is a mobile role with a company van and fuel card provided. You will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day electrical repairs, testing, and installations in both occupied and void social housing units.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend and complete reactive electrical repairs in tenants' homes and communal areas
Perform fault finding, diagnostics, testing, and general repairs
Carry out electrical installations and upgrades where required
Ensure all work complies with current wiring regulations (BS7671)
Complete accurate documentation and update job management systems
Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergency repairs
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all health and safety procedures
Requirements:
City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS(Apply online only) or 2394/2395 Inspection & Testing (preferred)
Previous experience working within domestic social housing (occupied properties preferred)
Full UK Driving Licence
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
Flexibility to participate in an on-call rota
