Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Type: Full Time Permanent

Salary: Starting Salary £56,753 increasing to £59,740 after probation
Shifts: Suez Shift (12 hr shifts days & nights)
We’re looking for a Resident Maintenance Engineer to join an on‑site team at a major automated warehouse in Thatcham. This hands‑on role is essential to maintaining the reliability and performance of a fast‑paced intralogistics operation.
About the Role:
  * Responsible for delivering PPM and reactive maintenance within agreed timeframes
  * Maintain and repair fast‑flowing material‑handling equipment
  * Log all daily activities accurately using the agreed method
  * Work closely with the customer and fully engage in day‑to‑day operations
  * Ensure compliance with site CMMS, quality, environmental, and H&S procedures
  * Identify root causes of equipment issues and work proactively with operations
Requirements:
  * ONC/HNC/BTEC/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  * PLC knowledge/experience beneficial
  * Experience with automated materials‑handling equipment
  * Ability to work at height
