Maintenance Engineer – Day Shift (Monday to Friday)
Location: Perth, Scotland
Permanent | Full-time | Day Shift
We’re supporting a long-established Scottish manufacturer in their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site in Perth. With a legacy of innovation and quality, the business operates across both domestic and commercial markets and has recently become part of a major European group – creating further opportunity for investment and growth.
The successful candidate will take the lead on all maintenance activities, supporting a multi-million-pound capital investment programme and implementing preventive systems to ensure continued safety, reliability, and efficiency on site.
What You’ll Be Doing:
*
Lead and deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
*
Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out effective root cause analysis to minimise downtime
*
Develop and implement planned maintenance schedules
*
Support a junior engineer with training and development
*
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and quality regulations
*
Collaborate with operations leadership on continuous improvement and Lean initiatives
*
Play a key role in the commissioning of new machinery and systems
What You’ll Bring:
*
Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing or industrial environment
*
Sound knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
*
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with a methodical approach
*
Proficiency using IT and diagnostic tools
*
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*
A good understanding of health & safety best practice
*
Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent; we welcome applications from candidates with ex-Forces engineering backgrounds
