We’re partnering with a global Tier-1 automotive supplier producing mechatronic assemblies for major OEMs. The Coventry sites are flagship UK facilities with high automation and continuous investment, and they’re adding to their maintenance team.
What’s on offer:
Location: Coventry (two large sites, 1,000+ employees across both)
Salary: £43,000–£49,000 base + £4,000 sign-on bonus
Shifts: Double Days (balanced work–life vs nights)
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (typical ~£5K extra per year)
️ Holidays: 33 days total leave
Pension: 5% employer contribution
Training: Siemens S7/TIA, ABB robotics, big-business development pathways
Progression: Technical specialist or leadership routes; opportunities across global sites
The role:
Join a multi-skilled team maintaining welding cells, seat assembly lines, conveyors, ABB robots, and laser systems. Split is roughly 50/50 electrical/mechanical. Work spans PPM/TPM, reactive repair, CI projects, and close collaboration with weld techs.
You’ll work with:
Electrical: sensors, relays, AC/DC motors, drives; PLC I/O fault-finding (Siemens S7/TIA; no programming needed).
Mechanical: pneumatics, hydraulics, pumps, valves; replace bearings, sprockets, seals.
Ideal profile:
Level 3 (or apprenticeship) in Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance.
Factory manufacturing experience (automotive/FMCG/heavy).
Confident fault-finding electrically & mechanically; PLC diagnostics exposure.
