They are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly, hardworking team and help keep our plant running safely and efficiently.
The Role
This is a hands-on engineering role based within a busy chemical manufacturing environment. You'll be maintaining, repairing, and improving a range of production equipment and site infrastructure to ensure smooth, safe, and continuous operations.
You'll need to be comfortable getting stuck in, this is not a desk job.
The work can sometimes be dirty, smelly, and challenging, but for the right person, it's highly rewarding, varied, and part of a supportive team that values practical problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment, utilities, and facilities
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Support plant shutdowns and major maintenance projects
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with site standards and regulations
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and enhance reliability About You
Hands-on experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is essential
Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant is highly desirable
Electrical skills or qualifications would be the gold standard
Comfortable working in environments that can be physically demanding and not always pleasant-smelling!
A proactive, safety-conscious approach with great problem-solving skills What We Offer
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE)
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
